Sabi’ Zawaher Tafteq Bilmujtamaa سبع ظواهر تفتك بالمجتمع
The book, the writer, and its printed production so far: We thought that Professor Omar Al-Shaabi, the author of this new book, was a literary thinker, a brilliant poet with deep feelings, and an independent writer writing on various topics. That was when he published (The Story of the Prophet’s Birthday), (Beware of Smoking, Beware of Wine, and Beware of Drugs!), (Shedding Light on Poetry and Literary Schools, Criticism and Its Methods) and his collection of poems that contains his two diwans (Sunrise, Sunset, and Heartbeats) and (Extracts and Shadows on the Path of Life). However, he is in his book: (Seven Phenomena…) a social researcher, a reformer who is very interested in his society and the societies of his nation and the issues of the world, a theorist and critic with different educational, philosophical, social, political, economic and cultural goals and dimensions which all reflect originality, seriousness, depth and honesty. And the truth is said He is the person who bears the pains and dreams of his homeland and his nation, as well as his dreams, concerns and aspirations for himself. There is no exageration in that, for he is the devoted teacher, educator, and always dedicated to performing his duty and the advancement and flourishment of his nation and calling of humanity to love, justice, goodness and peace. And here he is, in this book (Seven Phenomena…) monitoring, analyzing and diagnosing the most prominent diseases, social phenomena and negatives, and, thus, describing the curing medicine and proposing the decisive solutions to address them, hoping that decision makers take them or get guided by what they deem suitable, so that they could fight corruption and depravation, and manifestations of weakness, backwardness and decay. It is hoped that those concerned and others will find in this book what will be of help on the way of rectiying, correction, and guidance to effective self-criticism.
