The Clear Courses of Action

The author of this book compiled a summary of jurisprudence in the light of jurisprudential rules to which he linked the branches and the origins, that this book became one of the most important books on Jurisprudence which contributed in greatly understanding the doctrine of Imam Malik.

It included two thousand issues, which are relevant to these rules, with a footnote for each rule indicating an opinion, a dialogue, or a presentation of the opinions of the jurists.

Imam Al-Wansharisi in his book discussed jurisprudential branches which included all jurisprudential aspects which were not considered of jurisprudence, which made it difficult for many of our jurists brothers to research its issues, who refused to explain it, due to the difficulty of its style and the accuracy of its words, which expresses his scientific ability, his jurisprudential position, and his leadership in discretion in the doctrine, so no one of the jurists of the doctrine should underestimate the importance of this book for a reason or another.

This book is distinguished by the rules that were formulated in the manner of questioning, deciding and giving choices, in order to clarify the ruling adopted in the doctrine which is more likely than others, or to make it an indication of refusing to choose between two rulings, to give permissibility of adopting one of them, or not to adopt the first ruling for the sake of the second.

It is certain that Imam Al-Wansharisi was distinguished with this method in clarification, which no one preceded him in dealing with it, and this is what made scholars of the doctrine and of other doctrines revere it and give it its high scientific status.

Allah has given me great favor by making me explain it and choosing me, among all his creation, to accompany the rules to clarify and explain them.

This book includes one hundred and twenty-four jurisprudential rules, which in their entirety included more than a thousand doctrinal issues applied to those rules.

Perhaps the author mentioned some useful anecdotes related to the subject, which took place in the discussion among scholars, and he dealt with three types of jurisprudence rules:
1- General rules agreed upon among scholars.
2- General rules not agreed upon among scholars.
3- Special rules (regulations) over which the jurists differ.
